STAFF CABINS The Grand Oaks Staff Cabins are the newest sleeping quarters on the campus. For years, the “adult” quarters provided were the least accomodating of all the housing on
campus. Finally, circumstances allowed that to change and now the adult staff enjoy very comfortable facilities allowing for much better rest and
preparation for their daily tasks.
There are 10 cabins in the Staff complex.
The “stilt building” contains Cabins
1 through 4. Cabins 1, 3 & 4 each feature double sinks with large
mirrors, a separate shower and toilet and a unique cabinet allowing guests to
store a traditional suitcase and hang their clothes separately from the others
in the room. They are furnished with two bunk beds and a double bed as
well as a table and chairs for work or just visiting.
 Cabin number 2 has a
bunk bed, a twin bed and a double bed. It also has a table and chairs and
the restroom facilities are handicap accessible.
The “bunkhouse” building contains
cabins 5 through 10. The upper floor has rooms 5 through 8 which are
identical and are furnished with a double bed and a twin bed. A sink and
mirror are in the room and separate shower & toilet rooms are
provided. These rooms are accessed from an attractive deck with chairs for
outdoor use.
The lower floor, accessed from the gravel walkway lining the
backside of the building, contains rooms 9 & 10. These each have two
bunk beds and three twin beds, housing up to 7 guests. They each have
double sinks with mirror, and two showers and two toilets. They are
identical except that room #9 is handicap accessible.
