NURSES BUILDING During summer camps groups
are required to provide a nurse to be on duty and this is their “home
base”. .
Originally built as and named “
Hulbert Administration Building” it was just that—the
administrative center of the camp with a small office for the director, a small
nurse station and a snack shop.
It served in this capacity until around
2002 when it was converted and devoted fully to nurse quarters. It
features a spacious “dispensary” room where supplies are stored and has its own
refrigerator and washer/drier. There is a modest “living” room (or waiting
room, if you prefer) as well as space for campers not feeling well to lie
down.
There is a private bedroom for the nurse as well as restroom facilities featuring the only bathtub on campus! The building has heat and air and is quite comfortable—for “camp” standards
anyway
